Stephen D. Morel

 

Stephen D. Morel is the managing partner of NOLA Title Company and the law firm of Morel Yorsch. Through the title company and the law firm, he represents individuals and businesses in residential and commercial real estate transactions, contracts and closings, and construction, land development, condominium and land use and zoning laws. 

Mr Morel was born and raised in Slidell, Louisiana, and graduated from Northshore High School in 1994.  Subsequently, Mr. Morel enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard wherein he was trained as a Russian linguist, and military interrogator.  He eventually attained the rank of staff-sergeant, and was honorably discharged in 2001.  Following the active duty training of his enlistment, Mr. Morel enrolled at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, graduating in May of 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in Eastern European Studies.  He subsequently was admitted into LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and received his Juris Doctorate in May of 2002.

Mr. Morel is currently licensed to practice law before all Louisiana state and federal courts, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is also a licensed by the State of Louisiana as a notary public, and title insurance producer.  He is an active member of the Louisiana State and New Orleans Bar Associations, and the Young Leadership Council.


Frederick E. Yorsch

 

Frederick E. Yorsch is a partner of the law firm of Morel Yorsch and NOLA Title Company. In his general practice he represents clients in a wide variety of fields including state and local government, real estate, general business, tort and family law.

Mr. Yorsch is a graduate of New Orleans Police Academy and was employed by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office from 1995 through 2003. He was selected for the Street Crimes Unit and the Crisis Management Unit (SWAT). Mr. Yorsch rose to the rank of Lieutenant and Assistant Commander of the Street Crimes Unit.

Mr. Yorsch received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in 1998 and his graduate degree from Southern University in 2000. Mr. Yorsch graduated from Loyola University School Of Law in 2004 earning a Juris Doctorate and a International Legal Studies Certificate.

Mr. Yorsch is licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. He is also a graduate of the Police Legal Advisor Training Program instructed by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

Mr. Yorsch is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Jefferson Parish Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, International Association of Chiefs of Police, National Sheriff's Association and the Fraternal Order of Police. Since 2005, he has served as Legal Counsel for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office.
